Trojan Nuclear Plant, Rainier, Oregon imploded May 21, 2006. 

An amazing view of the Trojan Nuclear Plant cooling tower implosion. It was the first time in the world a cooling tower had been imploded. The thing was nearly as tall as the pyramid of Giza. So while photographically it isn’t what I consider excellent - but it was sure cool being there and experiencing something so unique. here
