Despite recording more than $15 million in sales during the peak of California’s pot boom in 2009, one of the state’s largest medical marijuana dispensaries only registered $100,000 in profit. So where did all the money go? Our new story offers an inside look at the Berkeley dispensary’s finances, which included nearly $1 million for top executives, advertising, security, accountants, attorneys and a host of other operating expenses.
